14 Year Old Arrested After Attempted Robbery

Detectives with 3 District (Welland) Criminal Investigative Branch (CIB) continue to investigate this attempted robbery. As a result of the investigation, a 14-year-old male was identified and arrested on April 18, with assistance from the Toronto Police Service and the Peel Regional Police.
In accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA), the Niagara Regional Police Service is prohibited from releasing the identity of the accused.
The accused was held for a bail hearing on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at the Robert S. K. Welch Courthouse, located at 59 Church Street in St Catharines.
The investigation remains ongoing, and two suspects are still outstanding in this matter. Anyone with information regarding this investigation is asked to contact Niagara Regional Police Service at (905) 688 4111, option 3, extension 1009746.

On Wednesday, March 4, 2026, Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) 6 District (Port Colborne/Wainfleet) uniform officers were dispatched to a bank on Highway 3 in the Town of Wainfleet for an attempted robbery.
At approximately 4:40 PM, three males with their identity concealed attended the front foyer of the bank. One of the males was brandishing a handgun, however they were unable to gain access to the bank due to security measures in place. The males then exited and fled the scene.
The suspects are described as follows:
Suspect 1: Black Male, approximately 20 years old, medium build. Wearing a black face covering, black hooded sweatshirt, black pants
Suspect 2: Black Male, approximately 20 years old, short with thin build. Wearing a black face covering, black jacket with grey inner hood, black pants, black running shoes.
Suspect 3: White Male, approximately 20 years old. Wearing a black face covering, grey hooded sweatshirt, grey sweatpants, white shoes.
