16 Year Old Repeat Offender Arrestd Following Machete Incident

Barrie Police have laid charges against a youth who chased several individuals while armed with a machete in March.
As a result of the ongoing investigation, police were able to quickly identify the male and issued a warrant for his arrest.
On Monday, April 20, 2026, a Barrie teen was taken into custody after turning himself in at Barrie Police Headquarters on Fairview Road.
The 16�year-old male from Barrie is facing several charges in connection with the investigation:
Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
Disguise with intent
Failure to comply with release order
Failure to comply with sentence
His identity is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
