Cornwall, ON � A 16-year-old youth from Cornwall was arrested on April 21, 2026, and charged with mischief � destroys or damages property and assault.
On April 18, 2026, CPS officers were dispatched to a trouble with youth complaint, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the youth damaged property by removing a posted sign. As a result of the investigation, reasonable and probable grounds were developed for the youth�s arrest.
Later on April 18, 2026, members of the CPS responded to an assault complaint, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the youth assaulted an individual who was unknown to him. As a result of the investigation, police once again developed reasonable and probable grounds for his arrest.
On April 21, 2026, the youth attended police headquarters to address the matters. He was taken into custody and charged accordingly under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. The youth was released to appear in court at a later date.

Cornwall, ON � A 25-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on April 22, 2026, and charged with three counts of fail to comply with undertaking. In the early morning hours of April 22, 2026, CPS officers were dispatched to an intimate partner violence call, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the man was bound by an undertaking with the relevant conditions to not communicate with his ex-girlfriend, to not attend or be within 100 metres of his ex-girlfriend�s person, place of residence, employment or any place she may be and to not enter the areas of her residence. It is further alleged on this date, the man attended his ex-girlfriend�s residence and was in contact with the woman. He was subsequently located by CPS officers. The man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
